    German inconsistently permits the verb "lehren" to have two direct objects: ich lehre den Mann das Fürchten. ;)

    Thanks, Robin. I was confused by the "mir." I thought of it as in English "teach German to me," where "German" seemed to be the direct (accusative) object. Maybe not.
