   to let oneself get carried away (by, with, zu)

Diesmal dozierte Sarkozy sachlich, während Royal sich zu emotionalen Ausbrüchen hinreißen ließ.
This time Sarkozy lectured objectively, while [opposition candidate Ségolène] Royal let herself get carried away with emotional outbursts.
“Wir werden uns nicht zum Pixelkrieg hinreißen lassen”, meint der Kodak-Manager entschieden.
“We’re not going to let ourselves get carried away with a pixel war,” says the Kodak manager decisively.
