Als beliebter Speisepilz sowie als Gegenstand einiger Sprichwörter ist uns allen der Pfifferling bekannt.
We all know the "Pfifferling" as a popular mushroom to eat and as the subject of some [German] sayings.
Das ist keinen Pfifferling wert.
That’s not worth a plug nickel/a thing.
Auf uns hat vor einigen Wochen keiner auch nur mehr einen Pfifferling gesetzt.
A few weeks ago, nobody would bet even a plug nickel on us.
