New findings regarding the foiled Detroit attack: According to The Los Angeles Times, US border officials found out about the terrorist connections of the alleged bomber when he was still sitting in the plane.
(Note: The word Attentäter is usually translated as “assassin,” but in many cases it is used by the German press in the sense of “bomber” or “murderer” rather than a person who kills a prominent person.)
Nach dem vereitelten Terroranschlag von Detroit verschärft die Lufthansa ihre Sicherheitskontrollen für US-Reisende.
Following the thwarted Detroit terror attack, Lufthansa is intensifying its security controls for travelers to the US.
