Die Aktienmärkte in Wien und Budapest sind am Vormittag stark unter Druck geraten. Grund ist ein Streit zwischen dem Internationalen Währungsfonds, der EU und Ungarn über den Sparkurs des osteuropäischen Landes.
The stock markets in Vienna and Budapest came under heavy pressure this morning. The reason is a dispute among the International Monetary Fund, the EU and Hungary over the eastern European country's austerity plan.
Der IWF wurde am 22. Juli 1944 durch eine internationale Übereinkunft gegründet und nahm im Mai 1946 erste Arbeiten auf.
The IMF was founded by an international agreement on June 22, 1944 and began its first projects in May 1946.
Der Internationale Währungsfonds (IWF) rüstet aufs Neue auf: Der Weltwährungsfonds will seine Kreditkapazitäten von derzeit 750 Milliarden Dollar auf eine Billion Dollar aufstocken.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is gearing up anew: The world monetary fund wants to boost its lending capacity from the current $750 billion to $1 trillion.
