Eine moderne Variante des Tempomaten ist die abstandsabhängige Adaptive Cruise Control, auch Abstandsregeltempomat genannt.
A modern variation of cruise control is the distance-dependent adaptive cruise control, also known as distance-regulating cruise control.
Porsche testet gerade einen intelligenten Tempomaten, der dem Fahrer fast in jeder Hinsicht überlegen ist. Er bewegt den Wagen schneller und dabei sogar spürbar sparsamer.

Cruise control proves especially useful on freeways (autobahns) with speed limits and for driving with a trailer.
