(die) Weiße Ware or weiße Ware (pl., Weiße Waren)
   white goods = household or kitchen appliances: refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, etc.
(In the USA, the term "white goods" more commonly refers to linens rather than appliances, but the German term is equal to the British English meaning, i.e., appliances.)

Die Bezeichnung „Weiße Ware“ hat ihren Ursprung in der klassischen Farbe Weiß bei Wasch- und Küchengeräten.
The term "white goods" comes from the classic white color of cleaning and kitchen appliances.
Doch gerade bei der sogenannten „Weißen Ware“ sollte der Fokus nicht nur auf dem Kaufpreis liegen.
But especially with so-called "white goods," the focus should not be just on the purchase price.
