   to lift, raise; take off (weight, abnehmen); pick up, lift (tel. receiver)

Ich habe gestern Geld abgehoben.
I withdrew money yesterday.
Sie hat das nur gemacht, um sich von anderen abzuheben.
She only did that in order to stand out/be different from the others.
