Seit 1951 wird in Westdeutschland der Logo-Entwurf von Ruprecht Mathieu – das so genannte Apotheken-A – verwendet.
Since 1951, the logo design by Ruprecht Mathieu – the so-called pharmacy A – has been used in West Germany. [The red A logo above is a trademark of Der Deutsche Apothekerverband (DAV).]
Apothekenketten sind in Deutschland verboten, abgesehen von „Mini-Ketten“ aus bis zu vier Apotheken im Besitz desselben Apothekers.
Pharmacy chains are forbidden in Germany, other than “mini-chains” of up to four pharmacies owned by the same pharmacist.*
(*The DocMorris pharmacies in Germany, which do not use the red A logo, seem like a chain, but are independently owned franchises.)
