Die Wachau ist eine etwas über 30 km lange Flusslandschaft zwischen Krems an der Donau und Melk.
The Wachau is a river landscape just over 30 km [19 mi] in length between Krems on the Danube and Melk [in Austria].

*The U.S. bank named Wachovia took its name from a region of North Carolina settled by Moravians in 1753. They called the region “Wachau” (later “Wachovia”) after the ancestral land of their benefactor, Count Nicholas Ludwig von Zinzendorf.
